Where I Stand

Peoples opinions, thoughts, and beliefs should always be evolving. Whether to a greater understanding of what you currently feel, or to feel totally different about something. You will see this page change. No, I'm not going to send you an email to tell you I no longer feel a certain way about something. No, I don't have to explain myself, but I might. So, here goes..

Religions are like music genres. People split themselves up into groups so they can feel more important about themselves and their beliefs. What I call God, you may call the Universe.
But I can't be right and tell you that you're wrong. That system of thought is so narrow minded, it holds back the progress of humanity.

Guns are the right of Americans. President Washington made statements that we needed to be armed so that no one, even our government, could oppress us. I don't need a semi-automatic rifle, or a 15 round shotgun, or 33 round magazines for my handgun to hunt deer. I need these things to protect my family from those who disregard the laws set forth to protect us.
Criminals obviously do not care what the laws say. If they want something, they will try to take it from you, and if you cannot protect yourself in one way or another, they will get what you have.
If you come for me or my family, I will not hesitate to pull the trigger or split you open. I can make that sacrifice, because my loved ones come before your malicious goals.

Even though I train in martial arts, they are essentially obsolete. You can now pick someone off with a rifle or stop an attacker with a handgun. The Grandmaster of the Bando system, Dr. U Maung Gyi, said something along these lines, "If your martial arts instructor said that what you are learning is guaranteed to protect you and you will survive an attack, you got fucked." We cannot know anything about what attacks may come our way, but having at least some training will give you some edge. 30% chance of survival, as Grandmaster Gyi said.

Human beings are more primal and instinctive, and far less civilized, than we would care to admit. Go to a dance club or a bar, get a good vantage point, and then imagine everyone as a pack of dogs during mating season. You will see someone try the same thing on five different women. Why? It worked once or twice before, and in his mind, it will eventually work again. It became his understood mating ritual.
Watch when people try to cut you off in traffic, or in line at a buffet. It's the "bigger" lion making sure he gets the amount of food he wants before you, the hyena (as he sees you), gets in and takes his food. Or in the case of traffic, to stroke their own ego. Dominance over another animal, therefore this is my territory.
